Hairspray!

The final performance of Hairspray is upon us. After months of preparation the first three nights of the show have bend played to packed houses and standing ovations. All the hard work and dedication has come to fruition. While it is largely a  whole school endeavour, the two TY classes form the backbone of the production. Every member of the year has been involved whether that’s been in  set building, painting, hall management, stage crew and indeed some of the lead roles on stage. It has been a fantastic experience for all involved. Well done to everyone. Check out the Hairspray page  for photos of the night.

Our School’s Got Talent…and it’s going on tour!

Congratulations to Dominic McGowan, Siofra Devine & Eamon Travers who will be representing Colaiste Cholmcille in Round 3 of Our School’s Got Talent on Wednesday 23rd November. Good luck to them.

If that’s not enough evidence of the musical talent in the school, Miss Mc Teague will be taking the school Traditional Music Band to Ennistymon, Co. Clare on December 1st and 2nd as part of a music exchange.

Study Skills for Leaving Certs and Parents/Guardians

Michael Bond will visit the school at 7.30 on Thursday 27th of October to give a talk to LC parents/guardians on study skils and motivation. As a widely recognised consultant in this field, the presentation will be of great benefit to all.

He will return on Friday 28th to give a presentation to students, with a follow up talk before the mocks. The total cost is €10 per student.
